Colin’s sister Barbara is here in Bucerias visiting with us from Rotherham England. Her flight from Manchester England was eleven and a half hours a direct flight on a Boeing 788. We are having a wonderful time together.

Last week we went exploring.
We stayed at B&B in Ajijic a town situated on the north shore of Lake Chapala in the state of Jalisco.
Lake Chapala is the largest freshwater lake in Mexico. 80km length, 18km wide, elevation 1,524m. The lake and surrounding Sierra Madre mountains ensure warm temperatures year round and average 74 degrees F and sits at sea level (no humidity). New tastes this past week…Tacos el Pastor (a dish developed in Central Mexico, based on shawarma spit-grilled meat) and a variety of sauces if you are brave enough to try from mild to light my fire that is sooooo…Hot!!!
Tapas from a new restaurant in town Sevilla Tapas, two dishes…Chicken Croquettes served with Manchengo cheese sauce and Mahi Mahi Sevillano fresh fish filet with a Mushroom and Cream sauce.

Seven days on the road and major highway construction from Henderson, Nevada to Mazatlan, Mexico and the total distance 4277 km from Port Angeles, Washington to Bucerias, Nayarit, Mexico. A couple of photos taken from the front seat of our car, the never ending Nevada highway and the best construction job in Mexico watering the sand and gravel to keep the dust down.
This was our second year of cooking hot dogs for the kids of Pender Island.
We had popcorn, hot dogs, hot chocolate with mini marshmallows and the kids got a goody bag full of treats from the firemen.
There was a bonfire made from old pallets and we watched the full moon rising.
