Date Night

It’s sad that date nights are rare enough that they deserve a post on here, but that’s the way it goes, I guess. 😉

Tonight, Tammy and I went to Minas Steakhouse, a Brazilian barbecue place in Eau Claire (by the river downtown). About a month ago, I got an award from work paying for a dinner out, and tonight was one of the first nights that things worked out. The meal was delicious, with Tammy in ecstasy a number of times throughout the evening. This type of restaurant is a mix of hot and cold buffet/salad bar, and waiters who come around to your table with meat on skewers, carving off slices of meat for you at your table. It’s a bit of a meat-overload, but it’s really hard to say no when they come around.

We took the train downtown and back, and on the way home walked along the riverfront to Sunnyside station. The city was beautiful in the dark, and the night was ridiculously warm. Seriously: it’s gotten up to 19 degrees two days in a row. The weather has been better than the summer was.

Thanks to Brian and Esri for the night out. And to Miranda for babysitting Ian.
