We were all hunkered down and ready for winter, and then this happened. It’s been 19 degrees in the afternoon three days in a row! Today I took advantage by putting up the Christmas lights. Since the weather was so nice, I was in the mood to be adventurous, and I strung lights along the top roof line as well as the bottom.
We’ll see how they look when the sun goes down. I also strung some clear lights around the back deck. It’s warm enough to sit out there this evening.
Then I went for a bike ride with Ian down along the river. There were tons of people out walking and riding bikes.
Pretty sure I’ll be riding with the club tomorrow morning, too.
It ended up a nice enough evening that I hauled the table and chairs on to the deck, went to Sobey’s to pick up some burgers and buns, and we had a barbecue.
I will point out that with the deck-finishing issues and weather we had this summer, that was the first dinner out there… this year? And in November, to boot.
