I have to admit, I felt more than a little like Calvin this month, when he was waiting for his beanie to arrive.
I ordered a new iPad on the 5th through the RBC Rewards program, and it only arrived today. I won’t dwell on that much more, but it was a long wait as it made its way from China to Korea, to Alaska, to Tennessee, to South Dakota, and finally to Calgary.
It’s an iPad Pro 9.7″, and it’s replacing my three and a half year old iPad 4.
It’s pretty amazingly light and thin. Too much so: I ran out to Best Buy and bought a case tonight. The last thing I want to do is drop t and smash it right after getting it. 😊
I have transferred my stuff from the old one, and everything seems to be working, even the camera:
Here’s a picture of the cover that I bought at Best Buy tonight.
So far, it’s impressive. It works better as a stand than the Smart Cover I had on my old iPad, and it covers the front and back. I sat at the coffee shop while Ian had his piano lesson tonight, and typed away at my Nanowrimo novel on my Logitech Keys To Go. It’s a pretty awesome combination.
Looking cool, just don’t leave it anywhere!
