It’s the weekend before the Esri Developer Summit, and I fly away tomorrow morning. That always makes the weekend feel strange. I’ll be away until Friday night, which is longer than my usual trips.
It wasn’t really an action-packed weekend. Ian had a piano lesson on Saturday morning, and we did a bit of shopping. Tammy and I watched It Came From Outer Space on Netflix in the afternoon. Today was another sleepy day. Miranda and I have been playing Myth II and having some fun with that. That’s a game that Chris Spicer and I used to play back in our days at UNBC. He would always kick my butt at it.
By mid-afternoon, I was itching to do something as a family, so I proposed going to Southland Leisure Centre for some playing in the wave pool, waterslides and other fun stuff. So we did that, and had fun. I was wearing contacts today, and I wore them at the pool. At one point I thought that I’d lost one, but I guess some water had gotten trapped between the lens and my eye, because everything snapped back into focus when I wasn’t expecting it.
Now we’re having a dinner with rice, potstickers, sushi and veggies. Complete with some sake. 🙂 🇯🇵
Just had a look at the weather in Palm Springs and looks like sunny tshirt shorts by the pool for you week away. AHHHH!!!
We had a dump of snow today. UGHHHH!!!
Safe trip!!!!
