Hello From Regina

I’ve arrived in the flattest place in the world… Regina, Saskatchewan. 🙂 The plane touched down on time and I caught a waiting cab and here I am. The cabbie was really helpful and answered a number of questions for me. I’m at the West Harvest Inn, and it’s on a bit of a strip along a highway. Looking out my window, I see a big cell tower. Not exactly super ambiance. Room’s okay. Clean. I’ve obviously got Internet. What else could a person need? Oh yeah, dinner. Gotta go see about that.

  1. Thanks for letting us know you arrived safely. Warm and muggy here today – is past 70* already! Have a good week and a safe journey home.

  2. First day is over now. I am still not sure exactly what is expected of me. That’s not good. I’ve got a meeting tomorrow at 8:30 which will staighten things out, I hope.

I had a walk last night, and again this morning as I went to the University of Regina where the office I’m working at is located. Can’t say that I’ve really seen much of Regina yet, but this area is okay.

  3. Hi!! HOT, HOT, HOT, have been running in the high "Eightys" for the last 3 days….Dad..Enough already…

  4. It’s just been wonderful weather here in Regina. About 21 or 22 or so every day. Tammy’s been filling me in on the heat each evening. Sorry to hear that everyone is sweltering back home.

  5. None. Apparently Tammy got several bites when she was over on Pender Island yesterday. It’s like "Opposite Land" or something: I fly to the praries and have beautiful weather, while those I leave behind in Lotusland are scorched and eaten by bugs… 🙂
