It started snowing last night as I was bringing my week’s groceries back from Sobey’s to the hotel. Just a little bit, but I kept the curtains open in my hotel room, and the snow got heavier and heavier. I can’t say for sure as I sit here drinking a coffee looking out the window, but the radio said 15 cm fell last night. The road I can see is snow-covered but easily passable by the traffic.
I’m sorely tempted to walk to work as usual instead of getting a taxi. I brought warm clothes with me, but I should take some extra socks in case my feet get wet.
Well, so far so good. The weather yesterday was just a little below freezing. I was able to walk to and from work which is a nice bonus. Taking a taxi isn’t any faster, since you have to wait a long time in the rush hour for one to arrive. It’s a bit colder this morning. Still planning to walk, but I’ll slip my long johns on.
The hotel had a power outage last night. I never fully trust the hotel’s alarm clock, so I set two alarms. I was woken by my wristwatch alarm this morning.
They seem to have a lot of outages. Clear, cold, and sunny here today and frosty. A bit of snow is forecasted for Thursday and Friday, but I doubt it’ll be anything if it happens at all.
Hi from sunny Victoria! Received your Email on Goggle, didnt realize that they were doing individual streets also. I thought they were doing only the major city centers. We figure it was mid summer that they took the picture as the shrubs at the far end are still there.
Put up the last of our Christmas lights today, tested OK, will start on Friday to light up.
Also took a drive by Stephanie and Evans tonight and sat and enjoyed the lights, very nice with the new ones he has added.
Sounds like you are enjoying the Winter there. It looks on the weather channel that you will get a lot more tonight and tomorrow. We possibley will get a small dusting on Friday, hope not as I would rather drive to treatments on dry roads…[had number 16 today almost half way] still feeling OK. Mom says I look a little dark under the eyes..
