Today was something new for the kids: they had some tennis lessons. Yes, I know: tennis lessons in Calgary in the middle of winter? Believe it or not, there are indoor tennis courts in Calgary. Sure, tennis isn’t a typical winter sport here, but Miranda has been pretty consistent in asking to play tennis ever since they had a special gym class at school last fall where they got to try it.
So Tammy found some lessons and signed the kids up.
Ian’s lesson (for 6 and 7 year olds) was first, and Miranda’s (for 9 and 10 year olds) was second.
Both kids got a tennis racket to keep as part of the lessons. They were both disappointed that they had to wait until next Saturday for their next lesson. The teacher (Luis) was quite good and had lots of activities to do with the kids to keep them interested and learning the basics.
