Family Portrait 2014

Since the kids came along, we have been pretty good about taking a yearly portrait photo. This year, with the kids starting “real” school, we had professional portraits, so we didn’t really worry about it. I’d been thinking about updating our family portrait, and when we were on Pender Island, Carol bugged us that we hadn’t taken a new one recently. I mean, doesn’t the informal one here count? 🙂

So, with the weather cooperating and the apple tree being a willing backdrop, I present our family, circa August 2014.

We won’t go into the number of photos required to get a good one. Or the meltdown at the end. I’d rather just remember the beautiful summer morning.

  1. Great family photo. I’m going to go with 5 takes – at this point everyone looks like they are having a good time.
On another subject – that is a great crop of apples! You know if you cull out the small ones, the ones that are left will get bigger.

  2. We’re not sure what to do with the apples, or even what kind of apples they are. We only got 13 apples in total last year, so this bumper crop has us flummoxed. https://biickert.ca/?p=3949
We’ve been watering the tree, in the hopes that they will get enough to be juicy.
