Bedroom is Finished

I will post more tomorrow, including some pictures. For now, I’m pooped. If the mouldings had arrived when they had promised (between 8 and 12) instead of 2:00, we would have been done hours ago.

It’s now Easter Sunday (Happy Easter, everyone!) and we’ve had some sleep and a chance to decorate, put up the drapes and hook up the electronics. Here are a couple of pics:

While it’s not perfect, it’s so much better than what was there before it might as well be. The colour we chose is almost a kaleidoscope, changing depending on what lights are on. I figure a couple of days of rest, and I’ll be ready to move on to the hallway. Now that the green of the bathroom doesn’t clash with the red, I’m excited to see how the colours will extend down the hall and into the bonus room. 🙂

Yesterday was frustrating. Not because of anything we did, but we were waiting all morning for the moulding to show up, getting more and more anxious. We really wanted to finish the room today, but the later we got started, the less likely it was. As it worked out, we finished moving back into the bedroom at 10:00 pm by painting the crown moulding until about quarter past nine.

But now, everything is awesome!
