Flames Game

Last night, Ian and I took in the Calgary Flames playing the Tampa Bay Lightning at the Saddledome. We took the train from Tuscany to Victoria Park Station and back again after the game.

He was pretty excited: Tammy told him before he went to school that morning. The seats were in the second level, so not bad. You got a bit of an eagle’s eye view, without being too far back.

The Flames ended up winning 3-1. Ian enjoyed all of it: the popcorn, the game, the music, the announcer and the flames they shoot when the Flames score.

The tickets were a gift from Jim at work. He stopped by my desk right after I got in and offered them to me “as a thank you for all you did last year”. So that was really nice.

Miranda had her first piano lesson of the new year. Tammy took her, and then they came home and had a movie night, watching “Uncle Buck”.

Ian managed to stay alert through the game, but on the train ride home he started to flag. It was after 10 by then. He managed, though.

  1. Sounds like Ian had a good night at the hockey game. A very happy looking boy in the first picture. Dad
