It’s Tammy’s birthday today! Today she’s a fit and healthy 44 years old. Breakfast in bed started things off… maybe a little earlier than she would have liked… but 7:30 is sleeping in, damnit!  😉

As promised, here are some pictures of the cake at lunch today.
It was a scratch lemon cake (the cake had just a touch of lemon) with a lightly-lemon flavoured white icing and lemon curd in between the layers and drizzled over the top.
As you might guess from me using the word “drizzled” with “lemon curd”, it didn’t set up properly, and the icing wasn’t firm enough. Let’s just say it didn’t meet my usual standards for presentation, but it was delicious. 🙂
