Yesterday, we attended the Swine on My Mind-2016 charity pig roast. This was the second year we have attended, courtesy of an invitation from Leslie, a teacher at GEOS, who is the mother of Adam and Stefan, who host the event. Unlike last year, which was drenched by a thunderstorm, this year’s weather was almost perfect. A mix of sun and cloud, which stopped the temperature from rising out of the mid-20s. We were there from about 2:30 through 6:30, when the pig was finished roasting and was served.
We had fun, chatting and socializing (mostly with people we don’t know – but there were some people that Tammy knew, like Leslie, Bianca and her husband Phillippe, and Francesco.
We had fun, but I know I couldn’t do that every day. I was pretty wiped in the evening. Miranda was funny: she was hovering with Tammy almost the whole time, instead of playing with the kids. Some new stage of growing up, no doubt. 🙂
How was the food?
The food was great, particularly the ribs and Korean-style chicken wings. Good libations as well… hic. 🍹
Your starting to look like Albertins, glad you had a good time.
