Another Busy Day

And the deck is done!

That’s not to say there still isn’t work to be done. The lattice is falling apart, and the stain on everything else needs a refresh. But we will try to get a better jump on things next year.

But the day started with taking the kids to the orthodontist. The dentist recommended that we take both kids there after the last check up. Ian’s mouth is about the same spot as Miranda’s was when she was referred a long time ago. So the kids had photos and scans taken this morning.

The orthodontist recommended treatments for both kids, which will cost an arm and a leg.

Then the deck followed. Then I peeled and cored our harvest of apples.

That took a while. But it paid off: Tammy made an apple crisp when she came home. 😄

Then I washed my bike. It got somewhat dirty in the wet conditions on our drive home to Calgary. And cleaned and lubed the chains on both bikes. Then washed and painted Tammy’s winter wheels.

It’s been a couple of long days, but tomorrow should be a little more relaxed. In the early afternoon, I am going to take the kids to a spot on the Tour of Alberta route to cheer the riders as they go past.
