We started trying to put the carload of stuff away this morning… and two things in particular were problematic:
- Paintings / needlepoints
- Receiver & speakers
I started trying to find a home for them, but knowing that we were going to paint and generally disrupt our home made it feel like anything would be temporary. So the solution to that was to get started. Tammy and I stripped our bedroom bare and set ourselves up in the bonus room.
This afternoon I went to Home Depot to get primer, order the trim and get some sample colours to put on the wall. Then Tammy and I worked together to scrape the strip of popcorn on the ceiling away from the wall and removed the baseboards.
Tomorrow will be a couple of coats of primer and perhaps splashing the sample colours on the wall to see how we like them. The trim gets delivered on Saturday morning.
