Primer and Sample Day

The bedroom is not bad to paint. It’s big, but really not that complicated. There are three doors (entry, closet and bathroom) and one window. Other than that, it’s just a lot of wall to cover. It’s taken about a gallon and a half to do two coats of primer over the red. Tammy and I worked together for about three hours to get it done.

Now, we are having some lunch and we have a couple of 8 ounce samples from Home Depot to put on the walls. The plan is to go with one of the warm, colourful palettes from Behr that we started with the ensuite bathroom:

But the real test will be putting them on the walls and seeing if we like them. Hence the samples.

    1. It’s absolutely amazing how colours transform in different light. Just one colour chip can look brown, yellow-tan, and orange in different light and different surroundings. We’ve made our decision which colours to use in which rooms upstairs. Now to follow through.

    1. I never minded the colour, just the application. Once we did the bathroom in warm green, though, the cool red had to go. Two coats of primer to hide it. 🙂
