Mother’s Day 2015

I slept in until 8.30.  The kids were busy downstairs playing the piano or on the computer.  There were 3 cards on the table and a gift bag from Miranda.  She made me a bowl of Lucky Charms and a piece of cinnamon toast.  Simon made coffee.  My first card was a purple one covered with paper roses from Miranda.  She also gave me one that opened up into a duck with a moving beak.  She gave me a hedgehog stuffy in handmade gift bag.  Ian made a bluebell finger painting card with a little story about me inside.  Simon gave me a card and assorted clues to find my gift.  Eventually I found it in my golf bag: a Fitbit Flex activity/sleep tracking band.  It all goes hand-in-hand with my recent near-daily cycling-to-work-so-I-can-one-day-join-the-Bow-Cycle-club endeavour. Unofficially I got a new pair of cycling shorts and a Supertramp album

After breakfast we went to the driving range at Confederation Park and hit 200 balls among the four of us.  It was Ian’s suggestion.  😀  We then went for lunch at Montana’s.  It was surprisingly un-busy there.  I guess everyone went to brunch or were going out for supper or both.  When we came home Simon added a second coat of paint around the edges of the room.  Thank you.  Love you all.

I’m not sure where we will go from here.  Maybe more bulletins if events warrant.

Happy Mother’s day to all!
