Today, we made our first trip to Calaway Park for the season. Due to Ian’s piano lesson this morning, we didn’t go until about 2:00, so the crowds and lines were too long, and the day was pretty hot. We didn’t stay long, but did manage to go on a ride or three. Here are Tammy and Miranda on the “Gravitron” ride.
Also today, Miranda was busy practicing her piano in preparation for their summer recital next week. I took the opportunity to record her playing.
For future reference, here is how I have set things up so that I could make this recording:
- A 2009 Mac Mini, running GarageBand,
- Connected to the MIDI ports on the Yamaha Clavinova CLP-265GP, sending MIDI to the Mac over USB,
- Audio out from the Mac to the Clavinova.
I just set up a New Song in GarageBand, selected a Yamaha grand piano preset, and hit record. The kids played, and at the end, I hit stop recording. Then I shared the song as an MP3 file.
