Traditional Christmas

Something of a tradition in this house: Ian is throwing up. He was right as rain yesterday afternoon, but started barfing around dinner time. We got about four hours’ sleep before he was up and sick around three. We eventually got up to watch some TV with him around four-thirty, and have been sitting with him since. I ran out to Sobey’s to get some more children’s Gravol, but it’s behind a locked case until a pharmacist is on duty at nine.

  1. We’re not sure what caused this round. Squeak is under the weather too. I haven’t washed so many sheets and comforters in ages. I’m glad Simon is off next week – not that he wants to spend his holiday surrounded by illness. I hope it’s a 24h thing and that he’ll be better by Christmas. (Squeak too.)

  2. Too much excitement? Rich food? Poor tyke! I guess he’s too old for tyke – maybe fellow?? Hope all is well soon. JL

  3. We wondered that too, but he’s also dizzy. He mentioned being a little dizzy on Thursday too. It may be more than too much festive food. 🙁

  4. He’s full-on flu now. Fever, racing pulse, chills. The five mugs of coffee I’ve had today are wearing off. Time to switch to amphetamines. 😉

  5. He’s gone to sleep now. He managed to have a bowl of Shreddies with blueberries for supper and keep it down. We’ll see what the morrow brings.

    1. Spoke too soon. The Shreddies and blueberries ended up spread liberally over the bathroom floor, toilet and bucket. It was a mess. Sigh.

  6. Say Hello from Nana and Grandpa and hope he feels better soon in time for Santa Clause, better now than at Christmas, Much love.

  7. The epic continues. The good news is that he’s barfed only once this morning, first thing. He’s managed two cups of electrolyte drink and a salteen in the past two hours and we haven’t seen them again. Fingers crossed…
