Recently I have been creating several pieces of jewelry and thought I would share them. The clay jewelry I made for my friend Sierra whose sleepover-birthday party I just returned home from (A combination of terrible light and glaze prevented the taking of clear pictures). I also made the seashell studs and nut earrings for my friend Zara whose birthday was last Friday. The rest were random ideas.
I haven’t done a post in quite a while so I’m showing you a few of the projects I’ve been working on.

That’s all the crafts for now. Bye!
As you probably already know I have been in Quebec for the past 8 days. The trip was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed the programs the teachers chose. So, I shall now give you a day by day summary of what happened.
Day 1 – Plane & Bowling
We didn’t do much on the first day in Montréal since we landed fairly late. One highlight of that day was the fact that my ears still hadn’t popped by the time we were at the restaurant for supper (Supper was a buffet). When dinner was over we walked a few blocks to a recreational building where we went bowling. After coming in second place, even though I got mostly gutter balls, we got on the bus and drove to our first hotel. It wasn’t much to look at. The colours and design kind of reminded me of a mental institution or a hospital. The shower had really low water pressure too. My roommates for the trip were were Adrian, Catalina, and Lauren. Aside from that, and the fact that my ears still hadn’t popped by the time I fell asleep, it was a fun evening.
Day 2 – Info & Views
First thing the next morning we had a complimentary breakfast at around 8 in the morning.
Today I helped run the Calgary Young Writers’ Conference. This year it took place at the Robert Thirsk High School. Usually only grade 9s are allowed to volunteer at the YWC but a few couldn’t come. I was lucky to be one of the 3 selected grade 8s who came and helped out. I had tons of fun helping the younger kids find there sessions and I got 3 free meals too. And I tell you, there’s nothing quite like running up and down 4 flights of stairs constantly for 9 hours straight. That’s all for now. Had tons of fun and would love to do it again but probably won’t. Bye.
(Also, the high school has a wonderful selection of books:)
Today Ian went to Ethan’s (a friend) birthday party at Flying Squirrel (Trampoline Park). He was there from 10:30 to 1:00 and had plenty of fun aside from falling on his face (He’s fine). They had pizza and ice-cream cake while Mom and I were down at Tim Hortons having a cheese croissant and a drink (French Vanilla/Coffee).
Dad left for his Sunday ride with the club after he finished unwrapping presents with coffee in-hand. He got a framed picture (Of him and Ian), quite a few books, and some flavoured decaf coffee.
While Ian was at the trampoline park Mom and I made our way down to the mall to kill some time. It was still under construction so there weren’t many stores besides Walmart and a few restaurants. First we headed to Timmy’s where Mom worked on a test for her students while I read my manga. After she finished we walked over to Walmart where we got some stuff for supper. We ended up getting some clothes for me too.
When we returned I had a piece of cake while Ian and his friends continued jumping. After talking to Ethan’s parents about school quality and playdates we left.
We made a few short trips to the library and Chapters on our way home. When we got home we prepared to Skype Baba and Grandpa but apparently that didn’t happen until Dad and I returned from Walmart. We had gone out to grab some groceries that weren’t at the other Walmart, grab some liquor, and to see if the optometrist was open (Wasn’t).
When we got home we talked to Baba and Grandpa for a while then Dad and I watched some more LotR until supper was done. We had homemade pizza and a delicious, lemon sponge cake for dessert.
I did Claymation summer camp this week and this is the stop motion movie we made. The camp was divided into about 7 different groups and this is what my group and I made.
The title is Awkward Food Fight
Well it’s been a while since I’ve posted anything so I decided I’d put all the Perler bead, marvel people I’ve made so far up on the website.
Yesterday and part of today was my birthday party. The theme was sleep over knitting/crocheting. It was tons of fun but only four of the five people I invited could come still we had tons of fun. There was Sierra, Marin, Farida, and Kaila two from W.O.Mitchell and two from Twelve mile coulee school. We started off playing board games such as Snakes and Ladders, Perfection, Connect Four, and Checkers. Then we kicked Ian and dad out of the living room so that we could play Minecraft XBOX version. At supper we had an assortment from Pizza Pockets to Corn dogs. After everyone was full we went back to Minecraft until the last person arrived. Then we had some of the delicious Confetti cake with 7 minute frosting my mom made me. Then we played hide and seek for a while, then we did presents. I got perfume, hand cream, mechanical pencils, a journal, two gift cards to chapters, a little clay panda bear, a pack of gum and four beanie boos. We started on knitting afterwards then Marin started to feel sick so she couldn’t stay over neither could Farida but we knew that ahead of time. So we finished of the party with Inside Out before bed. In the morning we had pancakes and fruit and that’s pretty much all of the main things that happened at my party now for some pics:
