Hello From Hamilton

Here’s another place I’ve never been: Hamilton, Ontario. I am here until Thursday to speak with the City about their GIS and their plans for Cityworks for asset management.

I have worked with them before, in 2015, but I met with them remotely from Calgary with Ihab in the room. This will be the first time face to face. As with any time that I am working with a new client, there is a measure of uncertainty and nervousness, but I think it will go well tomorrow.

The weather isn’t bad: -6. Not really conducive for long walks. Maybe I’ll do the room service. There is a pretty big pool, but it’s closed for maintenance. The fitness room looks pretty good, too.

At the moment, I am hearing some voices through the walls. I hope that doesn’t persist.
