I never thought the day would come, but here it is.
I received a letter in the mail from the Sherrif’s Services; it was my jury duty summons. I am to appear in court for selection on May 2nd. Then I have to go back on May 30th for the same thing. I assume it is for another jury on another case. The hours are from 9:30-12:30.
In both cases I need to find someone to care for Miranda. I asked my mum-in-law if she could look after M on the 2nd. If not, I will have to find daycare with someone.
I wonder if I will be selected. How exciting!

Well, it seems that it’s much harder to find child care for M than I imagined. Everyone is busy with work or school. It looks like I’ll have to apply for a Hardship excuse not to serve. Dang! Oh well, my family comes first. If it were only for the 3 hours, I could do it, but knowing my luck I’d be chosen and the case would drag on. Then where would we be?!

There’s a pretty good chance I can take the day off, but we’ll have to wait and see.
