Today I took Miranda to see a matinee of WALL-E. 🙂
After having seen it with Tammy, I thought that WALL-E was a good movie for Miranda to see, and that she would probably be able to sit through it. So Tammy and I ordered another movie coupon, and it arrived yesterday.
The movie was as good the second time, and I think Miranda was a bit overwhelmed by the size of the screen and the volume, but she did manage to sit tight for the whole thing. A few times she asked me a typical question, but she was satisfied with “wait and see” for an answer. We got to see how it might have been: there was another little girl who we’d met in the line to get popcorn with her mother. Early in the movie, she was… concerned… about whether or not one of the robots was okay. She was crying and walking in the aisle. Her mom managed to coax her back, but a few minutes later, they left. That girl was only three and a half. Miranda at four and a half managed just fine. I was so proud of her.
