A “Winter” Ride

Count it! My first winter bike commute.

I had to. The weather has been so mild, but always with sub-zero mornings where I’m sure there was lots of frost and ice to navigate. This morning, when the radio announcers said it was seven degrees already, I knew I had to.

It was pretty uneventful. Yes, there were tricky spots, but I took it slow. The part I was most worried about, Home Road hill, was completely bare and clear of gravel.

I am not expecting a repeat any time soon. It’s supposed to snow tomorrow.
