Not much to report yet: Tammy is still in bed. 🙂
We’ll do presents when the smell of fresh coffee pulls her out. We have Ian’s piano lesson at noon, but then it will be off to the Green Chili for lunch.
Updated
Presents have been opened, and cake is now decorated! Tammy and Ian are out the door and heading for piano now. I decorated the cake with the kids’ help. Tammy’s haul included a new phone hands-free mount for her car, a book by her favourite physicist, Brian Cox, some Purdy’s chocolates from Ian, and a Peanuts travel mug from Miranda. Oh, and the puddies chipped in to get her an iTunes gift card. Such clever puddies!
Updated again!
Well, our best laid plans for lunch went astray: the restaurant wasn’t open at lunch on Saturday! So we came back home and had bunwiches and cake.
We spent the afternoon taking it easy. Tammy watched a Brian Cox astronomy documentary, then some Simpsons. Then we were off to Chapters at Miranda’s urging and the Green Chili.
Of course, we didn’t know what the kids would do. They famously avoid spicy food, but they did well.
We did a pretty good job of eating our veggie appetizer platter, butter chicken, chicken curry, tandoori prawns, rice and naan bread! The kids had mango juice and liked that.
Happy Birthday Tammy!!! Thinking of you and a yummy cake..Eat a piece for us.. Love Judy-Lynn and Dave
A sweet and spicy birthday…muy bien!
