Today, the kids and I took in the Calgary Stampede Parade (for the third year running). Tammy had to work today, so the kids and I grabbed our cowboy hats, a couple of folding chairs, some water and some sunscreen and jumped on the train.
We got there about 1/4 past 8. The parade started at 9:00, but at the other end of town. We settled in for a long wait.
We had shade for a good part of the morning. Tammy stopped by twice, once bearing a gift of coffee for me! ☕️
We had fun. Ian liked the “Transit Bear” tattoo that he got, and Miranda liked the Korean entry best.
The military tanks are always a favourite of mine. This year, being at street level, it was particularly cool.
The other highlight for me was watching the redhead across the street slowly turn lobster red over the course of two hours…
The Air Canada float was pretty darn good. No USS Enterprise from the town of Vulcan this year. I wonder why?
Your starting to look like Albertins. Spelled wrong!!!! looks like a lot of fun. Dad
What a great day!
We enjoyed the photos😍
I’ll bet that tank could squish almost anything flat!! Glad you all had a good day. Too bad Tammy was working. Mom
