Hello from Toronto

For the first time, I find myself in downtown Toronto. I’ve worked in Don Mills, and I’ve worked in Vaughan, but never downtown. I’m working with the Toronto Police Service, doing a capacity planning exercise. Today was the first day of a two day workshop and it went pretty well. Tonight, I have some homework to create a preliminary architecture design and capacity plan so I can present it tomorrow.

Last night was interesting, with the Blue Jays winning. I went right by the Rogers Centre last night as I arrived downtown on the UP Express.

I watched most of the game in my hotel room. It was the hullabaloo on the street afterwards that went on for hours that was amazing. It finally died down around 10:00.

I fly home tomorrow evening. Tonight is the Bow Cycle Customer Appreciation night. Since Tammy and I stopped by on Tuesday to get her shoes and pedals, I don’t imagine she’ll go tonight, but Christmas is coming… 😉

  1. I’m back now, safe and sound. Was a little late coming back, due to a baggage snafu (someone checked a bag, but then didn’t get on the plane).

No rest for the wicked, though: I’ve got a bunch of requests for overtime work today. I need to sort through that.
